The studio can call upon session musicians from a range of genres to add that extra sparkle to your recordings.

Below are some of the musicians associated with FloodPlain, but please contact Graham for further session musician info & rates, or to discuss any particular instrumental or vocal requirements for your projects.

Anna Mary Donaghy - Fiddle

Dubliner Anna Mary Donaghy is a professional concert performer, session musician, teacher & recording artist. Traditional music is her strongpoint, having completed an HND in Traditional Music in Ballyfermot college, but she also has an interest in many other genres and has put her name to various albums to date.

Anna Mary can regularly be spotted playing in various venues around Dublin city.

eoghan o’donnell - piano & keyboards

A B.Mus (hons) degree graduate from UCC, Eoghan enjoys playing many styles of music, from pop to jazz and country to swing, having released two albums of original compositions to date. Eoghan has also worked as a keyboard/piano player and MD for Musical Societies including Nenagh, Roscrea, Shannon, Renmore Panto Soc. and Galway M.S. He has also worked on several Irish Traditional music projects and enjoys working with songwriters on original projects.

Currently he teaches music at Ashbourne Community School and enjoys the creativity and generosity of spirit of his many talented students.

Graham watson - Acoustic, electric & lap-steel guitars / drums / bass / percussion

Studio owner & producer, Graham, also doubles as a session musician for any tracks requiring that bit extra.

Graham holds a Masters degree in Music Technology & has many years experience as a musician & audio engineer, having performed & recorded in Canada, the U.S., France, Finland, Estonia, Australia, New Zealand, Scotland & throughout Ireland.

MARGUERITE COLLINS - Flute / Vocals / Fiddle

Marguerite is a multi-instrumentalist, proficient on flute, vocals, fiddle & guitar. Having grown up playing Traditional Irish music in the renowned Clontarf Comhaltas branch, she went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Irish Music Performance at the Irish World Academy in the University of Limerick. She has been a recording artist since the age of 18 & performs regularly on the Dublin session scene. She has recently completed a Masters degree in Music Therapy.

SARAH MAY ROGERs - Fiddle & vocals

Fiddle player & singer, Sarah-May is an active member of the Irish folk scene and regularly collaborates with artists at home and abroad for live performances & recording. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from NUI Maynooth, is the Principal Violinist with the Island of Ireland Peace Choir and is Director of Cadence Music. She has performed extensively in Ireland and abroad, having spent many years exploring different musical styles. In her role as teacher, she strives to bring out the best in students and help them become confident performers.

BRIAN FLEMING - PERCUSSION

Percussionist, teacher, theatre-maker, and festival director, Brian Fleming has performed in over 30 countries, including Western Europe, Scandinavia and many on the Asian, African and American continents. He has recorded on over 50 albums and performed with musicians such as Davy Spillane, Mamady Keita and The Chieftains. Brian is credited in the Guinness Book of World Records 2001 as the creator of the “Millennium Drum,” the world’s largest drum. He is the writer and performer of three successful one-man shows, ‘Gis a Shot of Your Bongos Mister,’ ‘Have Yis No Homes To go To?’ and ‘A Sacrilegious Lesbian and Homosexual Parade’ with sell-out performances in Ireland and the US. He was a founding member of the Afro-Irish bands De jimbe and Tig Linn. He has worked with New York’s inclusive 'St Pat’s For All Parade' since 2001 and is co-director, since 2007 of the Big Bang Festival of Rhythm in Dublin.

EOIN DILLON - UILLEANN PIPES & WHISTLES

Eoin has been playing music from a young age, when he started on the tin whistle. Playing the Uilleann pipes for over 30 years now, Eoin has performed throughout Ireland, Europe, Africa, Australia, America and Asia. Eoin has released three solo albums to date, featuring many of his own compositions.  A founding member of Irish outfit 'Kíla', many of Eoin's compositions feature on their recordings.  Eoin has performed with Sinéad Ó Connor, U2, The Dubliners, Baba Maal and Zakir Hussain, among others. He has played on numerous film and television scores, including Oscar-nominated Cartoon Saloon productions 'The Secret of Kells' and 'Song of the Sea'.
